We Are Food Safety Certified

In order to assure our guests that we are providing the safest products available The Cafe Truck® has voluntarily adopted a very stringent policy regarding employee training and certification that goes well above what the Hawaii Revised Statutes or Hawaii Department of Health requires.

As recommended by the Conference for Food Protection, and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in its 2011 Supplement to the 2009 Food Code we require all of our managers to successfully complete a Certified Food Protection Manager training class and certification exam accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and is  recognized by the Conference for Food Protection.

Our managers must also successfully complete a Hazards Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) Manager Certification training class and  certification examination accredited by the International HACCP Alliance and conforms to the Codex Alimentarius (International Food Law).

All non-management employees are required to successfully complete a NEHA Certified Professional Food Handler training class and certification exam.

All employees also receive training in food allergies and allergic reaction prevention.

Food safety training & certification exams are provided by Certified Instructors of the Hawaii Foodservice Academy.
